These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Pangi, including its iPhone app, AutoFill extension, and Apple Watch companion features. By downloading, installing, or using Pangi, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Pangi.
1. About Pangi
Pangi is a software application that helps you store authenticator account information and generate time-based one-time passcodes for services you choose to add.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You may use Pangi only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You agree not to:
- use Pangi for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- interfere with or disrupt the app's operation
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to data, systems, or accounts
- reverse engineer or modify the app except where such restriction is prohibited by law
- use Pangi in a way that infringes the rights of others
3. Your Data and Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- the accuracy of information you add to Pangi
- keeping your device, backups, and passwords secure
- maintaining access to your Apple account and device security settings, if you use optional sync or device-protection features
- verifying that the accounts and QR codes you import are legitimate
Pangi does not verify whether a third-party service, issuer, or QR code is authentic.
4. Security Features and Optional Services
Pangi may offer features such as:
- device authentication using Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
- camera-based QR code scanning
- encrypted backup export and restore
- optional encrypted iCloud sync
- Apple Watch support
- Password AutoFill integration
Some features depend on Apple services, device capabilities, permissions, or operating-system support. Those features may be unavailable or limited on some devices or in some circumstances.
5. Backups, Sync, and Data Loss
You understand and agree that:
- you are responsible for keeping backup passwords and backup files safe
- if you forget a backup password, encrypted backups may be unrecoverable
- cloud and device sync features may depend on Apple infrastructure outside our control
- no software can guarantee prevention of all data loss, corruption, delay, or service interruption
You should maintain your own backup and recovery practices appropriate for your needs.
6. No Guarantee of Acceptance by Third-Party Services
Pangi generates one-time codes based on the account data you provide or import. We do not guarantee that any third-party website, service, or provider will accept a generated code. Acceptance may depend on factors outside our control, including incorrect setup data, time drift, service-side errors, account restrictions, or changes made by the third-party service.
7. Privacy
Your use of Pangi is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled.
8. Intellectual Property
Pangi, including its software, design, text, graphics, and related content, is owned by or licensed to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pangi for your personal, lawful use.
9. App Store and Platform Terms
If you downloaded Pangi through the Apple App Store, your use of Pangi is also subject to applicable Apple media, software, and App Store usage rules.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Pangi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that:
- the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free
- the app will always be secure or free from defects
- sync, backup, import, export, AutoFill, or watch features will always function without delay or failure
- generated codes will always be accepted by third-party services
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, business, or access to accounts arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, Pangi.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.
12. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Pangi at any time.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this document. Continued use of Pangi after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using Pangi at any time. You may also delete your local data, backups, or synced data through the app and your device settings, where applicable.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and other legal provisions intended to remain in effect.
